As photographers and image-makers, we have all been impacted to some degree economically by the COVID virus and the related national prevention measures.
Earlier this month, a collective of Art Associations, supported and endorsed by Trinidad & Tobago Photographic Society, has approached the government with several recommendations to include “Persons Self-Employed in the Arts” in their Social Support Initiatives.
We are happy to report that the majority of the recommendations were accepted and the Ministry of Social Development & Family Services has amended their Social Support Application Forms to allow for applications by person self-employed in the Art. The forms now also allow for “Cultural and Other Associations” to act as recommenders on the forms. Please note that the Recommender must have known you personally for at least three (3) years and know you well enough to be confident that the statements you have made in the application are true.
Additional information and the application forms can be found here.
