Photographing the Night Skies – With Kazim Daniel

Posted by:

This safari is geared to photographers who always wanted the opportunity to capture stars and the milky way under the dark skies right here in Trinidad.

What to Expect

Spend a night photographing the stars and milky way galaxy with our resident astrophotographer, Kazim Daniel. A shuttle will take you to various dark sky shooting locations along the north eastern coast of Trinidad. The first shooting location identified is the Kershon Walcott Lighthouse at Galera Point, after which you would be taken to 2 other locations then back to the meeting point.

As we would be using long exposures you are expected to be able to use your tripod and change your camera settings in minimal lighting conditions. You will learn how to focus on the dark, optimal camera settings, and using your camera to maximize your camera’s capability.

Please note: Under 18’s are welcomed, but must be accompanied by a paying adult. This event may involve walking along paths and surfaces which may be unpaved. Locations at this event may be unlit or dimly illuminated.
